Today I was talking to a great danish friend of mine whose bithday was celebrated in great stile, her family and old friend went swimming naked in freezing waters of the North Sea.
I love the Danes and their selfconfidency.
It would be much nicer to speak about the danes, great people ! But this is not the topic.
"The Emperor Is Naked", is a tale with many translations all over the world written by the danish writter Hans Cristian Andersen. It tells us how we will not see what everyone sees when we don't want to. (worth reading it again)
In Brazil it happens all the time, It sems the speed of every day's internet topics blinds people to what really is going on.
Political and companies' scandalls take turn day after day. Former presidents, Governors and Mayors, Congressmen, City Councellers, Bank and Industries' owners all taken by the same corruption lifestile.
How about the people ? Differently from the Danes, our seflconfidency only apears in the days of Canival, as the rest of the year we pretend to be wearing silk dresses when we are completely naked.
Next year we will have elections again for Presidency, Senate, Chamber of Deputies, State Governors, it will be a great opportunity to move ahead and change our status quo.
Will us finally get dressed ?




Hoje eu estava falando com uma grande amiga minha dinamarquesa que celebrou o aniversário em grande estilo, a família dela e amigos antigos foram nadar nus nas congelantes guas do mar do norte. Adoro os dinamarqueses e sua autoconfiança.
Seria muito mais legal falar dos dinamarqueses, povo maravilhoso ! Mas esse não é o assunto.
"O Imperador está nú" (ou A Roupa Nova do Rei) é uma fábula com muitas traduções feitas no mundo todo, escrita pelo escritor Hans Christian Andersen. Ela nos fala como não vemos o que todo mundo vê, quando não queremos ver. (vale a pena ler novamente)
No Brasil isso acontece o tempo todo e parece que a velocidade dos assuntos da internet  cega o povo para o que realmente está acontecendo.
Escândalos políticos e empresariais se revezam dia após dia. Ex-Presidentes, Governadores, e Prefeitos, Deputados, Vereadores, Donos de Bancos e de Empresas todos tomados pelo estilo de vida da corrupção.
E o povo ? Diferentemente dos Dinamarqueses a nossa autoestima apenas aparece durante o carnaval, enquanto no resto do ano fingimos estar usando túnicas de seda quando estamos completamente nus.
No ano que vem teremos eleições para a Presidência, Senado, Câmara dos Deputados, Governadores de Estados. Será uma grande oportunidade para seguir em frente e mudar o Status Quo.
Será que vamos, finalmente, nos vestir ?
